Kiganjo is full of brooding, purple grape flavors with a lightly tart acidity, and a finish like honeydew and sweet chocolate. This is a versatile coffee, tasty and aromatic however you brew it, although you may prefer a longer, specialty style espresso shot, or batch brew.

Description

Origin: Small farms local to Kiganjo washing mill, Kiambu County, Kenya

Bright, juicy, and complex, Kenyan coffees represent the best of the specialty world. This selection from the Thiririka Farmers society is a tasty example of one of the country’s archetypal cup profiles: a brooding, red winey cup with accents of ripe fruit and floral flavors over a sweet chocolate base. The classic Kenyan processing method of double-washing and drying on raised beds produces a clean, vibrant cup.
