Origin: Quejina estate, Petatan, Huehuetenango, Guatemala

2018 has been one of our favorite years for Guatemalan coffee, ever. Third-generation farmer Nicolas Ramirez’ grows specialty-grade coffee on his family owned estate, separating microlots by quality and varietal. This lot of sweet and fruit-forward Caturra was uniquely subject to extended fermentation, leading to juicy notes of purple wine grapes, blackberry, and strawberry, over a crisp foundation like milk chocolate-hazelnut butter.
